If you've ever lost something in the water and wanted to go find it, then the PADI Search and Recovery Diver Specialty course is for you. There are effective ways to search for objects underwater that increase your chances of success. There are also good and better methods to bring up small, large or just awkward items. Search and Recovery can be challenging, but a whole lot of fun.
To enroll in the a PADI Search and Recovery class, you must be a PADI Advance Open Water Diver or Junior Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization). PADI Open Water Divers with a PADI Underwater Navigator certification also quality. This specialty also counts towards your Master Scuba Diver Certification.

Visit Aquatic Dreams Scuba Center to enroll in the course and get your PADI Search and Recovery Crewpak. By reading the manual and watching the DVD before class, you'll be ready to get in the water and start practicing your search and recovery skills when you meet with your PADI Instructor.
Besides your basic scuba equipment, you will need a compass and underwater slate. Your PADI Instructor or staff may suggest other gear that may help with your searches, such as a dive light, marker buoys, line and reels.
